Hair Transplant Consultation

The initial step on your own journey is giving us a call or getting in touch via our enquiry form. We will then organise a consultation for you at a convenient time at our Hair Transplant Glasgow Clinic. We pride ourselves on being honest, informative and straight-forward. We don’t believe in charging for consultations as we want our patients to be able to make an informed decision without any financial obligation.

During your Hair Transplant South Kensington consultation, one of our consultants will provide you with all of the information you need and design a specific procedure tailored around your own individual needs.

We don’t believe in high-pressure sales tactics and none of our staff work on a commission or referral fee basis. During your consultation, our staff will be able to advise what method of treatment is best suited for you. Please bear in mind that not everyone is a suitable candidate for a hair transplant.

Hair Transplant Procedure

Our specialist team will put you at ease from the very beginning. Before your procedure, the surgeon provides you with a detailed breakdown of how long they expect the surgery to last. This may be several hours so we generally advise patients to make arrangements to bring in a favourite box set or something similar prior to the procedure. Our surgeon will explain the dos and don’ts as soon as your hair transplant is complete. Your transplanted hair generally takes between 3 months to start developing

We’ve seen our patients being transformed following a procedure. Not just in physical appearance but in confidence and general well-being

Types Of Treatment – FUE & FUT

At Capital, we offer the two most popular and effective methods of hair transplant – FUT & FUE. It must be noted that FUT and FUE are not competing forms of hair transplantation but actually complimentary methods. Throughout your consultation, we’ll evaluate which approach you’re most suited for and what’s going to deliver the very best, most natural-looking results

FUE Treatment

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a more sophisticated method of obtaining donor hair for transplant. Instead of removing a strip of hair-bearing skin from the donor region as with FUT, the hair is individually removed utilising a unique punch tool varying in diameter from 0.06-0.09mm. This technique does make healing quicker and leaves no scar tissue.

Hair is then meticulously planted back into the balding area in a naturally occurring gradient to give the most natural appearance. Due to the inherent nature of the grafts being extracted, it does take more time to perform than FUT.

Both procedures are performed using state-of-the-art microscopes and under local anaesthetic to minimise post-process recovery.

Although both procedures are minimally invasive, we suggest you take 3 days off after your surgery to allow time for the grafts to settle.

FUT Treatment

Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) is an older technique, which includes taking a strip of hair-bearing skin from the donor region, usually in the rear of the head. Specialist technicians are then tasked with dissecting the strip, being careful not to damage the strongest and most dense hair roots.

Our highly skilled surgeons ensure the donor area is sutured to leave a thin scar, which even a hairdresser would struggle to detect. Our surgeon will carefully rebuild your new hairline giving you a look that is natural and dense once this has been carried out. It should be noted that regardless of what method you chose, the end result will look the same as the grafts are implanted the exact same way. It is only the extraction technique that is different.
