We will organise a consultation for you at a suitable time within our Hair Transplant South Lanarkshire Clinic. We pride ourselves on being honest, educational and straightforward. We don’t believe in charging for consultations as we want our patients to be able to make an informed decision with no financial obligation.

During your Hair Transplant South Lanarkshire consultation, one of our advisors will offer you all of the information that you need and design a specific procedure suited around your own individual needs. During your consultation, our staff will be able to advise on what method of treatment is suitable for you. Please remember that not everyone is a suitable candidate for a hair transplant.

Hair Transplant Procedure

Our expert team will put you at ease from the very beginning. Ahead of your procedure, the surgeon supplies you with a detailed breakdown of how long they expect the surgery to carry out. This might be several hours so we normally advise patients to make arrangements to bring in a favourite box set or something similar prior to the procedure. Our surgeon will explain the dos and don’ts when your hair transplant is complete. Your transplanted hair usually takes between 3 months to begin developing.

We’ve viewed our patients transformation following a Hair Replacement procedure, not only in physical appearance but in self-confidence and general well being.

Types Of Treatment – FUE & FUT

At Capital Clinic, we favour the two most popular and efficient methods of hair transplant – FUE & FUT. It should be noted that FUE and FUT are not competing forms of hair transplantation, but truly complimentary methods. Throughout your consultation, we’ll assess which operation you’re most for and what’s going to deliver the best, most natural- looking results.

FUE Treatment

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a more advanced way of getting donor hair for transplant. Instead of removing a strip of hair-bearing skin from the donor region as with FUT, the hair is separately removed utilising a distinctive punch tool varying in diameter from 0.06 – 0.09mm. This technique does make healing quicker and makes no scar tissue.

Hair is then meticulously put back into the balding area in a naturally occurring gradient to give the most natural look. Due to the constitutional temperament of the grafts being taken out, it does take more time to perform than FUT.

Both procedures are performed using state-of-the-art microscopes and under local anaesthetic to minimise post-operation recovery.

Although both procedures are minimally invasive, we suggest you take 3 days off after your surgery to allow time for the grafts to settle.

FUT Treatment

Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) is an older technique, which includes taking a strip of hair-bearing skin from the donor area, usually in the rear of the head. Specialist technicians are subsequently tasked with dissecting the strip, being careful not to damage the most robust and most dense hair roots.

Our highly skilled surgeons ensure the donor area is sutured to make a thin scar, which a hairdresser would strain to discover. Our surgeon will carefully rebuild your new hairline giving you a look that is dense and natural once this has been carried out. It should be mentioned that regardless of what method you chose, the final result will appear the same, as the grafts are planted the identical way. It’s simply the extraction technique that is not the same.
