Hair Transplant Procedure
Our expert team will put you at ease from the very start. Ahead of your procedure, the surgeon gives you a comprehensive breakdown of how long they expect the surgery to carry out. So we typically advise patients to make arrangements to bring in a favourite box set or something similar prior to the operation this may be several hours. Our surgeon will fully describe the dos and don’ts when your hair transplant is complete. Your transplanted hair normally takes between 3 months to begin developing.

Types Of Treatment – FUE & FUT
At Capital Clinic, we favour the two most popular and effective methods of hair transplant – FUE & FUT. It must be noted that FUT and FUE aren’t competing types of hair transplantation, but actually complimentary techniques. Throughout your consultation, we’ll evaluate which operation you’re most eligible for and what’s going to produce the very best, most natural- looking results.
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a more complex approach to obtaining donor hair for transplant. Rather than removing a strip of hair-bearing skin from the donor region as with FUT, the hair is individually removed utilising a distinctive punch tool changing in diameter from 0.06 – 0.09mm. This technique does make healing quicker and makes no scar tissue.
Hair is then meticulously planted back into the balding place in a naturally occurring gradient to provide the most natural look. Because of the constitutional nature of the grafts being pulled, it does take additional time to perform than FUT.
Both operations are performed using state-of-the-art microscopes and under local anaesthetic to minimise post-operation recovery.
We propose you take 3 days off following your surgery to allow time for the grafts to settle although both operations are minimally invasive.
Specialist technicians are then tasked with dissecting the strip, being cautious not to damage the most robust and most dense hair roots.
Our highly skilled surgeons ensure the donor area is sutured to make a narrow scar, which even a hairdresser would strain to detect. Our surgeon will carefully rebuild your new hairline giving you once this has been carried out, a look that’s dense and natural. It should be noted that regardless of what procedure you chose, the final result will appear the same, as the grafts are implanted the identical way.
